From October 18 to December 24, 2026, every $25 receipt from a Wetaskiwin business is a chance to win Wetaskiwin gift certificates. There's $1,000 in prizes and 10 winners, including a $250 Grand Prize.
How it works
1. Shop here. Spend $25+ or more (before tax) at any business in Wetaskiwin, including shops, restaurants, salons, service providers and trades.
2. Snap your receipt. Take a clear photo showing the business name, date and total.
3. WIN here. Enter your receipt using the button below, or at City Hall. Draws are October 26, November 30 and December 14, plus a $250 Grand Prize on January 5, 2027. One entry per receipt, up to 5 entries per person per week.
No smartphone or internet? No problem. Bring your receipt to the City Hall front counter (4705 50 avenue, Monday - Friday: 8:30AM - 4:30PM), fill out a paper entry slip and drop it in the Local WINS box. You keep your receipt.
Collection of personal information
The City of Wetaskiwin collects the personal information you provide in this form, including your uploaded receipt, to administer the 2026 Shop Local contest. By colmpleting and submitting the form, you consent to the collection of your personal information. This includes verifying eligible purchases, contacting selected winners and awarding prizes. This collection is authorized under section 4(c) of Alberta’s Protection of Privacy Act. For Businesses
Is your business in Wetaskiwin? You're already part of it. Every $25+ receipt (before tax) from a Wetaskiwin business counts.
Registering is free and gives you extra ways to take part.
Why register
- A free promo toolkit. You get counter cards to hand out with receipts, a poster and social media graphics with suggested captions.
- A chance to supply a prize. The City will randomly choose 10 registered businesses to supply the 10 prize gift certificates. The City buys each certificate from the business that's chosen.
How to register
Email ecdev@wetaskiwin.ca by October 9, 2026, or reply to the campaign email you received. Please include:
- Business name and street address
- Contact name, phone number and email
- How many counter cards you'd like (most businesses start with 100)
